Terms of service

What we offer

We make a short video (Reel) about a public GitHub repository you send us and publish it on the @git.loco platforms you choose, at a sponsored time slot.

We write the script ourselves, from the repo’s README and description and what you ask us to highlight. Your highlight is guidance, not text we read out word for word.

What we accept

The repository must be public and must stay public until the video is published. Every submission is checked automatically before it is accepted.

We don’t accept projects centred on sexual content, drugs, weapons, gambling, illegal activity or partisan politics, or highlights that ask us to promote anything other than the repo. We may decline a submission without further explanation.

If the repository is deleted or made private before publishing, we won’t produce the video and the refund policy applies.

Price and payment

The price is calculated per platform from the channel’s audience and shown before you pay. The first video per email is free while the channel has under 1,000 followers on the chosen platforms.

Payments are processed by Stripe. The payment link works once and is switched off if the order isn’t paid within 7 days.

Publishing date

Your video takes the channel’s first free sponsored slot on each platform. We email you the date. Occasionally one platform may publish at a different slot from another.

Instagram collaboration

If you give us your Instagram handle and your account is public, we invite you as a collaborator on the Reel. If the invite can’t be sent (for example, the account became private), we publish the Reel without a collaborator.

Your content

By submitting a repo you confirm you may share its link and you allow us to use its name, description, README, star count and screenshots of its page to make and publish the video.

The published video belongs to @git.loco and stays on the channel. If there’s a problem with a published video, write to us at partnership@git.promo.

What we don’t guarantee

We don’t guarantee any number of views, followers, stars or any other result. Platforms may limit or remove content under their own rules.

Our total liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the current version is the one on this page. For any question, write to partnership@git.promo.
